Landscaping in Scunthorpe & North Lincolnshire

The garden is where most builds finish. We dig foundations, lay slabs, fence boundaries and level lawns with the same care we give to a kitchen fit, not as an afterthought.

Every landscaping project, covered end-to-end

Patios

Porcelain, sandstone and limestone patios on a proper full-mortar base with a compacted MOT sub-base. Won't sink, won't move.

Driveways

Block paving, tarmac and resin-bound driveways. Proper 200mm sub-base, permeable bedding layer, edge restraints.

Fencing

Feather-edge, close-board and picket fencing fitted into concrete-set posts. No wonky panels sagging within 12 months.

Turf & Artificial Grass

Roll-on lawn turf over a prepared seed bed, or artificial grass on shock pad and ground-stabilising geotextile.

Walls & Borders

Brick and block retaining walls, raised sleeper beds, dwarf garden walls. Built properly with coping stones and engineered foundations.

Drainage & Soakaways

French drains, soakaways and channel gullies to clear standing water. Often missed on cheaper jobs, always included on ours.

Landscaping FAQs

How long does a patio take to lay?
A 30m² patio usually takes 5 to 7 working days: dig, sub-base, bedding, slabs, jointing, cleaning. We lay everything on a full mortar bed so slabs don't rock years later.
Can you work on sloping gardens?
Yes. Sloping gardens need either terracing with retaining walls or careful drainage. We build the terraces from concrete block or sleepers depending on the design and budget.
Do your driveways need planning permission?
If the front garden is over 5m² and you use non-permeable surfaces like concrete or tarmac that don't drain to a lawn, you may need planning. Permeable paving or resin-bound over a soakaway avoids the issue.
How long does artificial grass last?
Good-quality artificial grass laid on a proper shock pad and geotextile runs 12 to 15 years before it needs replacing. Cheap grass on a bare sand base lasts 4 to 5.
